چکیده

Background: The quest for newer and stronger materials replacing teeth has resulted in Zirconium oxide's introduction, which possesses excellent mechanical strength toughness. However, uncertainty exists the relationship between its bond surface treatment method adopted mode of failure at interface. Aim - study aimed to evaluate comparison micro-tensile zirconia core all-ceramic layering with different treatments analyse their by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Materials methods: Zirconia cores (Ceramill ZI 71 XS) were fabricated CAD-CAM into discs 5mm diameter 3.5mm height. Then divided four groups. Among which, Group-I was control group, remaining are treated. Group-II specimens treated sandblasting, followed acid etching; Group-III Group-IV zirliner glass beads, respectively. After that, veneering material (IPS Empress, E.max Ceram Dentin) 2×2 mm adhered then kept ceramic furnace. mounted on a Universal Testing Machine, tensile stress is applied. obtained data subjected One-way ANOVA Tukey-HSD tests statistical analyses. Results samples sandblasting etching showed more veneer interface. Furthermore, SEM revealed cohesive Group-II, whereas, -III, there an adhesive failure. exhibited mixed significant differences (p=0.001) within In posthoc analysis, Groups -I, II, IV. Conclusion: Increased roughness aluminium oxide particles, when coupled along chemical hydrofluoric acid, enhanced Y-TZP ceramic.

Improvement in the Tensile Bond Strength between 3Y-TZP Ceramic and Enamel by Surface Treatments

This study examined the effects of 3 mol % yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (3Y-TZP) ceramic surface treatments on the tensile bond strength and surface characteristics of enamel. To measure the tensile bond strength, the 3Y-TZP and tooth specimens were manufactured in a mini-dumbbell shape and divided into four groups based on the type of 3Y-TZP surface treatment: polishing (P...

Evaluation of the Effect of Sandblasting (120 μm) on Shear Bond Strength between Ceramic Veneer and Zirconia Core

Background and Aim: Due to the importance of the bond strength between zirconia core (ZC) and porcelain veneer (PV) as well as the paradox about the functionality of sandblasting on the solidity between those layers, this research aimed to evaluate the effect of sandblasting on the shear bond strength (SBS) between ZC and PV. Materials and Methods: After preparing 20 zirconia discs (7 mm &time...

A Comparative Evaluation of Shear Bond Strength of Creation Ceramic Veneer to Metal and Zirconia Cores

Abstract Background and Aim: High chipping rates of the veneering porcelain of zirconia ceramic restorations have been reported in clinical studies. Thus, the shear bond strength (SBS) between the zirconia core and veneering porcelain requires investigation. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, at first, using a computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) machine, 1...
